I have been living in Tallahassee since 1994. When I came to Tallahassee many residential neighborhoods of today, were wooded areas at that time. I have seen 300 single family homes cover land in a single subdivision that I had hiked in prior to the building and development. It seems that there has been an explosion of new home all over. Even in the markets we are experiencing today, there are still new single family home developments planned for birth very soon, and new neighborhoods recently added. This proves that regardless of the market, real estate lives, and people buy and sell real estate. The absorption rates may indicate changes, but homes are on the market, and sold. There is movement, activity, happy buyers, and happy sellers. Prices have come down, but in some neighborhoods, not much at all, in others, more of a difference. Real estate in Tallahassee is stable, and gradual, which historically has described real estate here. Tallahassee is a very good place to buy and sell real esate in.
