If you look at clouds or flames in the fire, one often sees faces, shapes, fantastic animals and many other things. Our brains are programmed to recognise familiar objects and that is why random shapes often trigger our brain into recognition. Think of the 'face' that we see on the Moon. It is nothing, really, but a random collection of dark and light patches but the idea that it is a face (or sometimes an old man with a bundle of sticks on his back) is very compelling. At one time it was thought that there were canals on Mars but this has been proved to be an illusion. The random patches when seen through a poor telescope appear to be joined by lines. This is partly to do with the quality of optics at the time and partly to do with our eyes natural tendency to 'join the dots'. If you see four dots on a piece of paper, you naturally think of a square.

Hello,elite! a few days it was reported from NASA source that it had received image from Mars which shows a naked woman on the surface but it was not sure whether it was actually a woman.it is yet to be confirmed by the agency.thank you.
