You can upload to a good site called wikifortio.com .After upload it will give you the link that you can send to your friend.I hope this the best method I can suggest. If you like it then message me about your experience with it.

Driveway.com will allow you to host up to 2gb of files and will give you a link to send to your friend for download.

I usually use yousendit.com ...which is very convenient to use... You also get to enter the recipient's email address and the link will be sent to him/her to download and the link will still work up to 7 days...

You can upload you file to : www.easy-share.com And after uploading the file there , send the link to your friend and he can easily download the file from there. Other method is a bit leangthy . If you have a slow internet connection the I suggest that you split the file in 5-6 parts with a window file splitter and then email each part separately to your friend. After you friend receives all the parts , he has to use the same file splitter to join all the parts .You can get a window file splitter easily from: www.download.com

I usually split it into small pieces of 1M or 2M by using WinRAR and then send them by email
