we are having a huge debate about this texting thing. i mean how important is it really? we feel there is plenty of talking minutes to have, and no need to be chicken and text. our teenager thinks he needs to have it.... your opinion?

I share a house with my 19 year old brother. There is one cell phone which is in my name that we both use. He is constantly texting and it is a constant arguement. He always goes over the allowed text amount and sends the bill through the roof. My opinion texting is just stupid. It takes so much more time to text than it does to actually call the person and just say what you want to say. I wish there was a way to stop the texting on my cell phone altogether but the cell phone company tells me that this is just not possible.

well that is what we are arguing about! we cancelled all texting on his phone, and he is having a fit..the bill was almost 400 alone for his phone, and im not tolerating that anymore,, we said either stop the texting or no phone... but of course he needs this phone, and really we need him to have it, so we wont take it all away,, but i refuse to pay for texting.
