Those who reside by the side of the busy road are designated to be very unfortunate because even in the nights the passing vehicles give hoot to disturb the sleeping people. Sometime sick people find very difficult to put up with this noise and get awaken till morning. Specially people living in big cities and have their houses in busy roads face this problem as nowadays almost all big cities are busy all the 24 hours….the city never sleeps. I feel the authority concern should take action on this vehicle giving hoot without any purpose early in the morning. Do you experience this problem?

I don't stay particularly on the road but i do can understand this problem. As there is a school adjacent to our building & in the morning 5 o clock the school bus starts horning for which we can't sleep.Actually this is big nuisance. The vehicles make noice without any reason without realising that it causes so much problem for people specially the sick one.

I hate it when this happens to me. I cant stand wanting to sleep but not being able to sleep. I have no idea what makes theses nights so as some nights i coudl be tired all day and not be able to go to sleep. Where as other nights i take a long nap in the middle of the day and still am able to fall asleep naturally. Maybe my sleeping cycle is just really messed up but i think that sleepless nights are my top pet peaves.

you are mostly correct. But i live in a house which is beside the main road. vehicles pass through it all the times at night also. but we have got habituated with the sound and all.so now its not that sound which keeps me awake sometime at night.

Yes, I completely agree with you that constant noise or honking of horns near residential areas create lots of disturbances for the residents. They cannot leave peacefully. The concerned authorities should strictly take some action against those who make noise and roads should be built in such a fashion/or traffic be diverted in such a fashion from residential area, so that people could live peacefully.

I've lived on the main street in my town for years and the truth is I don't even notice the traffic noise anymore. I don't know what good it would do to pass a law against honking early in the morning. How could it be enforced? Annie
