Whenever I see you my heart melts
They say time heals, but absence makes the heart grow fonder
A confusing world of cliches we live in.
Life is for living, in love be forgiving.
Turn a blind eye to fault, but keep your eyes wide open.
A kiss on the cheeck, not exactly passion potion.
When I'm with you filled with elation
Next day cold at the railway station.
Hope helps, but if it is false hope, hurts.
You eyeing up the girlies in their mini skirts, then accusing me of being the flirt!
Double standards, you with freedom,
Me with restriction. Is that fair?
I'd break away if I'd dare.
Fear of being alone, no, I'm quite happy that way.
Fear of losing you, that sounds about right.
So should I stay or should I let you go?
Another couple of cliches in this cliched life.
If you love someone set them free, if you want something fight for it.
A confusing world in which we live
How much should I say, how much should I give?
Don't be walked over, but don't be too hard.
Get the Balnce right.
It would help if the scales worked eh!

hi ellie that is a beautiful poem you shared with me i will keep that one i do write poetry myself but have it all in a folder which at the moment am to lazy to find but you give me inspiration to continue writing poems-keep them coming one thing though you really should think of publishing yours-your friend littleowl

Thanks Littleowl, really appreciate your comments. Posted another one earlier With or without you happy memories remain the same if you want to take a look at that. Please please find some time and dig yours out would love to read. I need to start writing again myself, but in sharing these with others perhaps it too will give me the inspiration eh! Ellie :D

Hi Littleowl, I know this is a really old discussion but I just shared the last two lines in another discussion and I think they are the message wthin this.
