Veterans speak about McCain

It seems that many who were there dispute McCain's tale of being tortured in Viet Nam. Some of those who were there maintain his broken arms were caused by failure to follow ejection procedure when bailing from his plane (in layman's terms, he refused to keep his elbows in when he pulled the dohickey that sends him flying upward through the glass...his arms were broken when his elbows smacked the frame at full force upon ejection), and the broken leg occurred when he landed. Some are testifying that he was dubbed "Songbird McCain" because upon capture he "began singing like a canary because he didn't want to be tortured." Now, tell me something. What would motivate a true patriot that was tortured in Viet Nam to go to such great lengths to keep the search for POW-MIAs from happening?Have a listen at these war veterans and tell me what you think and WHY you think it and please feel free to leave me any research you have so that I might look at it with my own eyes. Viet Nam Veterans speak: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5dPwegqgDU If that isn't enough, I'd like to ask you if you have heard of Jack McLamb, the highly decorated Special Ops, highest decorated cop in his city, then on to become a highly respected FBI negotiator that talked down Randy Weaver at Ruby Ridge? Well, he has a whole lot to say about McCain too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6s7kEb6Osqc

Right, and the other day he voted AGAINST a ban of waterboarding and other "harsh advanced interrogation techniques". It's obvious what his true colors are, I think.

If a former POW doesn't care about his fellow POWs, then why the would America even begin to think that he gives a ratsazz about us?! Hello, McFly, America!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfyGdG9llSE&feature=related Here's his cell mate and what he says about him. I would think that if he thought at all that McCain had been singing like a canary while prisoner he would not be talking about him as a hero. Even if all his injuries were from exiting the plane he was still a man in extreme pain who did not get the medical attention he needed. As for the search for POW-MIAs I need to first do more research on that in order to respond. Of course you look at that video and you think the absolute worse however I find it difficult to believe there isn't a reason. As you said "why would a true patriot that was tortured in Viet Nam go to great lengths to keep the search for POW-MIAs from happening?"

Okay... here is his actually cell mate who says he is a hero... Now I can't find anything that is hard evidence of anything being true what you are saying in this discussion. Now this happened when McCain was like 20 years old so why would be be considered so special that the government would want to seal up and hide the fact if in fact he did tape 32 times denouncing America??? Why would the government want him in office in any government position??? Now I know this from a POW that in a situation like this they will actually take one man and claim that he is singing to get them to all fight each other. If I get the chance myself again to talk to talk to that POW from my husband's base I will be sure to ask him of his view of McCain., however from what I have been able to find out there are many veterans that admire him and think he's great including the guy who shared a room with him as a prisoner. As far as this accusation about leaving POW/MIAs behind... I'm sorry I don't see evidence of this... do you have some bill or some kind of documentation that shows this I'm trying to fully understand the McCain Bill but as far as I see it doesn't speak of POW/MIAs left behind... please help me to understand what you're talking about? ... Besides those short clips that cuts in and out of numerous people who are gripping about McCain.

No offense, but even our court system won't take the word of one man over the word of many.

Russell & Rascal - Precious picture of two really special guys!
I'm not especially sold on Obama, either. He waffles around with the best of them, and I don't like what the outcome of having him in The White House would be: A very socialized country with a level of government privacy invasion that will make even the strictest parts of The Patriot Act look like small potatoes in comparison. I think whatever kinds of problems that McCain might bring with him to The White House can be controlled by we the people better than what might be coming with Obama. We will begin to see our freedoms starting to evaporate with a socialist leader. Perhaps, we should consider the Rascal/Russell ticket. Russell T. Hartsaw would be the running mate of his wonderful stuffed dog, Rascal. Anyway, Russell is going to be having his own Internet radio show starting this coming Friday. It will be a two-hour, weekly show! Here's an information sheet about Invisible Youth Network that I've created... http://cfetc.blogspot.com/2008/08/iyn-quick-list.html Frankly, it might be good this year to write in Donald Duck for your Presidential choice!

Sorry for the very late response. I've been swamped with overtime and class work for months on end now. I did not in any way mean to insinuate that I was pushing for Obama. That could not have been further from the truth. I'm very happy to see that some people are watching what our so-called government for the people is pulling off right in front of our faces. Sometimes trying to spread the truth around gets frustrating. I personally and truly believe that parties and labels don't matter. Either choice would have been bad, and I'm saddened that so many have been fooled into voting in Obama. Things appear to be getting better but they are not. Thank you for commenting. I do believe that with their zero political training that Rascal & Russell or even Donald Duck would care more about the people than either of our choices of candidate could ever persistently claim to.

To me this is no different than any other presidential candidate who people want to discredit. Bogus documents were used to challenge Bush's service record. We all know Clinton was a draft dodger. This particular story sounds to me like when a bunch of people were claiming that John Kerry didn't earn his purple hearts, bronze star, silver star, etc. Any time you run for president your life will be called into question no matter what you've done for this nation.

Ah, I see. Too lazy to watch the footage. I didn't see anything there but veterans that served with him and were also prisoners of war in Viet Nam. I guess they must all be on Hillary and Barack's payrolls?

I never said he did anything great. I just said that I think this is no different than the smear tactics used on every politician. Ever since a known draft dodger became president, everyone's military service, or lack there of, gets called into question. The fact is he served our country as a member of the military, something that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have not done. Since this is clearly a weak point for both of them, it's no surprise that they need to produce crap to try and negate his advantage with the military.

Well to be honest I doubt any politican that claims half the crap they do about their military career are telling the truth. Their job is to get voted in.. not to be honest.
