On Friday night our kids were away from home. Our oldest was at a friends sleeping over and my youngest was at her uncles so we could have some us time. So thats fine we went out for supper we went and got my tattoo(OUCH) and then came home. When I was lying in bed trying to go to sleep I had the worst feeling tha something had happened to my youngest, she is prone to sleep walking and night terrors and I was terrified that she had woken up and Walked out of there house. Now mind you I know they have gates up and they lock there doors and they are responsible but i still could not get it out of my head. It was horrible. Then I started thinking she had fallen down the stairs and they didn't hear her. My hubby said she is fine or they would have called and he was rright the next morning we went to get her and she wass fine...she hadn't even woken up through the night! Maybe it was just my nerves from the tattoo and the couple of drinks I had had, But it was horrible I couldn't sleep I had to go read for a while before I could get to sleep. Have you ever had feelings like that before?

I have not slept away from my daughter as of yet. but the night before my csection and the night of my section (hopefully only one) She will be staying with my friend. I have a feeling i'm going to be EXACTLY this way. paranoid as a MOFO!!
I'm glad she was ok and you were worrying for nothing!

That would be horrible to be worried about your first child while in labour witht the second. I was too busy thinking about the pain to think about my first. She was with people I trusted plus she was older she was 5 years old and doesn't sleep walk...lol

Just like Moo, I've had things like that, and they were true. now, i can be over paranoid on nights when i've drank too much caffeine before bed and my mind just goes wild. When we first moved into our new home, i would have these feelings about my youngest at night. I got up to go check on him, and it turned that there was some guy that kept looking in the window(kids broke the blinds..*rolls eyes*) and then would take off. a couple times my son would end up screaming. We called the cops and after that it didn't happen again.
Other than that, I think sometimes we start getting paranoid over our babies. They're the baby and most likely the last one we'll have. And so you worry more and might be a little more protective w/ her than the rest of the kids. and that's when the other kids think she's your favorite. lol. And, all this is done mostly by subconscious.(sp?)
I'm glad she turned out alright. Sometimes those alarms can be real, while other times alchohol and pain just don't mix. :)

maybe not just like that but I do get paranoid probably way more then what I should and it always has to do with my kids. I am always worrying about them. when their at school, when I know that they are on their way home from school, when their out playing at the park or with friends.. there is just always some reason why I am worrying but I guess that just has to do with being a mother. I think when we take on the role of being a mother we get all those nice little things with it..lol.
but ya know, atleast we are the type of mothers who worry instead of some of these mothers who could just care less.
I'd rather be this way then like them, ya know.

Well I get paranoid for a lot of different things. One is that whenever we hear someone whistling or footsteps in the office, we would all quiet ourselves thinking that it could be our boss coming. It's always like that and it feels like paranoia to me at times.

I seem to get this way when I am home alone. I worry about people, but I also worry someone might have gotten into my house. But then again if you think about it, when it comes to worrying about other people, no new is usually good news. Because when something bad happens some one always calls to tell you.

The question I have to respond with is this: Who doesn't once in a while get paranoid about something? One of the biggest things I get paranoid about is the situation in the world, especially with the War on Terrorism. How do we know when an act of terrorism is about to occur? How do we know if the person who we just had a conversation with is not someone who wants to do you or a group of people or a nation harm? We don't and we probably are getting overly paranoid about it. But do we have a right to be paranoid? In a comical way of saying it, you are darn tootin' we have a right to be paranoid. This is probably the most viable reason to be paranoid in today's world.
