What I mean by this is has anyone seen the movie Runaway jury? Well along those lines! Do you think that it's easier to threaten the jurors now aday? Do you think it's easier for them to get bribed? What are your thoughts?

Juries/ Judges even- I think they can especially in mob trials. I'm from Chicago and the Mafia is alive and well...So they can be bought and threatened and I'm sure it happens.

Very easily, I'd imagine unless they are closely guarded. But unless the case is a high profile national case they don't guard the jury much..it can be scary if you think about it..

i believe it gets done all the time in gang land cases. and to be frank (although i am actualy Alex, not Frank) if my family was threatened i would concede to thier demands. it is easier to be morally uncoruptable by refusing a $2000 payoff than it is to ignore violence against those you love.

I do agree with you some one could offer me boat loads of money and I would say no but threaten one little hair on my family's head and i'd be more than happy to do what ever you want.

I just recently saw "Runaway Jury" and I think it certainly could happen. Let's face it, many jurors are "working class" people who had no connections to get out of it and they get paid very little and many employers don't pay for jury time so it's a real financial hardship for some. I'd like to believe most people would refuse to take a bribe but if their families are threatened that would be a different story. Annie

Yes i think it is very possible. If you are important enough there is help from all sides to get you out of trouble including judges and jury members. People that dont comply are usually killed off which would you preffer?
