What are ways to get to sleep faster?

I clearly don't get enough sleep. I stay up untill around midnight because 1)I still have a lot of work I couldnt get done durring the day and 2)I get tried around 11 AM and wake up around 10 PM, so it's like im nocturnal. I've tried just going to bed around 10 with no lights or sounds and laying there, but that just agrivates me. I dont know what else to do. I've tried medications and all the tricks i could find online. It's really cutting into my daily productivity when I need to be at my best, because everyone else is awake but I'm having trouble even keeping my eyes open, so I dont do too well with responding to others. Any suggestions? Thanks!

When I want to get to sleep, I often take a shower to get cool and comfortable. Stay in bed and find a comfy spot.. I lie face down and I tend to get to sleep quicker that way. I don't know if it would be advisable but, try it if you wish ^^

thanks for the tips =] i just took a shower but I wont be going to sleep (or trying to at least) for another hour till around 9:30. So we'll see if it still helps.

I don't know if it'll still be comfortable after an hour.. who knows.. I hope you get enough rest ^_^

When I am having trouble sleeping I find it is best to stay in bed and just turn a small lamp on or something not too bright and read a book. Books usually tire the eyes which make the rest of the brain want to rest.
