Veneers or Braces?

I've wanted to straighten my teeth for years and have been looking into getting them done as soon as I can afford too, I have been trying reall hard to save money so as I can...
I origionally thought of braces but just the other day I was speaking to a friend who is a dental nurse and she told me about veneers and I was intrigued by them....
They are a fraction of the price of getting braces, and are a quicker fix than waiting years to straighten, so I am very interested.
My question is does anybody have veneers?
What would you recomend?

Are you sure they are venners ? those dont straighten your teeth... im pretty sure veneers are those things that are kinda like fake teeth or do you mean invisalign

Veneers are are a quick fix but involves shaping the tooth and covering and building up the tooth. To make them look straight..More or less, fake..... I have looked into invisalign as well but is more expensive than ordinary braces... I have a long way in still in saving so the thought was mainly on cost, as veneers would work out cheaper....

i'd rather get braces personally. Veneers are fake teeth...meaning you need them for the rest of your life because they file down your real teeth. With braces they straighten your real teeth and then once youre done with them you have your real, natural teeth there. I dont know...fake teeth creep me out!

Yeah I agree with you.... I personally would rather have my own orional teeth rather than fake ones... It's just taking me sooooooo Long to save and I'm at the point I feel I can't wait much longer till I reach my gaol and get them fixed.... It's frustrating......
