Tired of Dora?

I am getting sooooo sick of Dora the Explorer! My daughter loves her, and I know that the content of the show is all about learning so it's probably a good show for her but come on... Dora is everywhere. Every store we go into there she is, on some new product that of course my daughter wants. You can only buy so much stuff. Anyone else tired of this little girl?

LOL your lucky, when my kids were young it was Barney the dinosaur. All day, every day, everywhere you looked. UGH! I have a granddaughter coming in april though so I'm sure I'll feel the same about Dora by the end of the year LOL.

My eldest son loved that programme as a little boy, the songs in it drove me up the wall, so much so that when I had my second son I completely banned it from our tv!

We watch our fair share of Dora, too, but she doesn't really bother me. I must just be a big kid, because I really don't mind watching Playhouse Disney, PBS, and Nick Jr with my toddler every morning. I'm not looking forward to when he gets older and decides he wants to watch shows like Kim Possible, Proud Family, etc. I don't like those cartoons!

I know how you feel... my daughter is crazy about the australian version of Hi-5... she watches if everyday... she has like 12 videos already and she never gets tired watching them... I already memorized all the song and dialogue... so i am so tired of watching the same old videos...now i go to the video store every week to buy her a new one... mainly for my own benefit... but they don't and won't have new one for the time being... so now... it's me, my baby, and hi-5 everyday...

Definitely. She's gotten way bigger since my 6 year old has stopped watching her. (he even had a Dora potty seat). I've been through Barney, Bob the Builder, Teletubbies, Boo-Bahs and Tiny Tots. Ugh!. Some of the shows that the kids love are so dull for adults. And then when they encourage the show by merchandising and cereal boxes - double ugh. -Tink
