Innocent as a dove

Why doesn't anyone say "innocent as a vulture"? I mean, vultures are innocent. They don't kill animals. They eat animals that have been killed by other means. They keep our roads clean by removing possums, armadillos, and other animals which have had the misfortune of being hit by cars. They are great for the environment and never cause any trouble with humans. So why do doves get so much credit. I think the black vultures here in Florida are plenty cute enough to warrant some love.

Dove is an innocent bird.I think most of the living things other than human being are innocent.It is only because they cannot think more like human.Thanks vicky
