I guess, I have to be thankful that I am over my hibernation/anti-social phase. It's a recurring phase though, i think. Anyways,it's the week of valentines, and I have friends who showed symptoms of having this valentine blues (kinda s*ck really)! Ok, my friends are either not yet over the separation stage with their lovers/ husbands/wives or are in the stage where they are hoping to have someone to hold hands with on valentines. Anyways, i am not being a nice friends to them because (lately) I basically could not empathize with their feelings (since I am refusing to) nor could I sympathize. The only thing that I could tell them is that they are wayyy better off than people in the streets asking for money or struggling everyday just to live. Do you think I am being harsh to them? Anyways, have you encountered this "valentine blues" moments. I did, while I was growing up. :D Have you had friends now who are in this valentine blues mode? How do you deal with them?

I had the valentines blues when I was in high school and didn't have a boyfriend and I would see all these girls getting flowers delivered to them at school and how happy they would be. Thankfully I am married now so I have Valentines to spend with someones special.

I am so happy for you. just don't mind my cynical moments. Really, being in love and knowing that you are loved is really something. It gives a certain high, that no book could explain. :D

I don't know any, since we I know my friends are too secretive when it comes to their personal relationships. You know, they prefer to keep things in private.. But if ever there's one, I'd be glad to lend a hand as I always see my self as a brother and a friend to them. As for me, I am not really that into a Valentine mode even if I do have someone special in my life. For me, Valentines is just like any normal day that passes by!:)

hi tryxiness! well, i can identify with you. i used to be like that--strong, cynical. and i hate it when people get mushy. i used to wear black. but when i learned to love, eveyrthing changed. anyway, way back then when i didnt ahve a special someone to spend valentines with, i just eat out with officemates during the day. no big deal. i also give gifts to friends. theres really nothing wrong with being alone during valentines. encourage them though. and be with them if you can. even now that i am maried, i still go out with friends during valentines. take care always and God bless! :-)
