Does this sound like a fantasy?

Hi guys, I am a teacher and I hate it. Everyday, I teach a bunch of disinterested people and it's really getting me down. I think I am getting myself into a rut and don't know how the heck to get outta it! My dream......is to start my own cafe/bar. It doesn't need to be a big place, just a place for people to enjoy good food and a few drinks. I am a fantastic cook, but I have no formal training, however, all of my friends (who are the most critical bunch of people I know) say I should do this for a living. How do I get started? I need someone with a lot of cash to hire me and let me run the place (food & atmosphere wise) I livein Asia, but come from the UK, but I have no preference for location (not the UK) could some of you give me some feedback? cheers

I think it sounds like a great idea. I am not sure exactly how you would get started in Asia. I live in the US. Here you might be able to get a loan to open up your own business. Also, getting an investor would be a good idea. I enjoy baking and candy making. I recently started selling the toffee that I make online and at a local gas station. I am doing ok at it so far. Not big bucks, but it is a beginning. I say go for it and follow your dream.

I think you should go for it.I would love also to change my career as i am a gemini and i get bored easily.I'm just not th type to meander on in the same old job and love it.I have had lots of ideas of what i want to do but so far i'm still a beautician. I would love to be a counsellor or a writer. If you are not tied down by family or location then the world is your oyster and go go go.
