It was on ABC Sunday afternoon that I saw former Suns all-star forward play in a Miami Heat uniform for the first time. He looked good and the team hung with the Lakers for the first half of the game. Does anyone think Marion will make a difference with the Heat? Will he give them a shot next year? Will they even win any remaing games this year with him and Wade? What's your opinion?

Marion look great yesterday. It looked like he infused the Heat with great energy. They lost to the lakers by ten, but the game was much closer than the score indicates. The heat should continue to run like they played with marion, because it gives them more opportunities for fastbreak easy points. Marion was great as the sparkplug, but Wade was sputtering as the engine, having created 9! turnovers...

They might have it online. But if you have NBA TV on your cable or satellite, they usually replay games.

Well first of all, I am a huge SUNS fan, and I was very disappointed with this trade because: 1. Shawn Marion is one of the most versatile, creative, and under rated players I have ever witnessed. 2. Shaq probably only has like 2 more years under his belt, when Shawn Marion can keep going for a very long time. 3. Just because of the way he shoots, people make fun of him, but hey reality check! HE MAKES IT!But back to your topic..yeah, I think he's probably going to HELP the Heat, probably not take em to a championship. I mean, basketball is a team game, no matter how good a player is, they can't win it all for a team. At the moment, I only see D Wade, Shawn Marion, maybe some other guys that are just sitting in the shadows not really stepping up, if they really want to be serious about even being a championship contender? They need alot more than just Shawn Marion. P.S. On top of that, D Wade isn't even 100% at the moment, did you see him at the skills challenge??? Blahh!

I agree with you the trade was a little lopsided. Marion is an all-star who has plenty of gas in the tank. But don't despair, I have a good feeling about Shaq reviving the confidence and energy level of the Suns. He may be over the hill, but, he brings 4 rings with him. That alone will inspire the other players in the organization. He also is still the biggest man in the NBA. This is still a big man's game. He will give them a presence in the post that Amare hasn't been able to provide. Don't get me wrong Amare is a great player. But he is a power forward. Even he admits that is his natural position. He's been playing out of position for the last few years. With Shaq on his side guarding the low post, that frees Amare up for more opportunities. Give Shaq the defensive responsibilities of the Duncans, Garnets and Bynums. Let Amare get a breather in the defensive end...and watch how he blossoms with the Diesel covering his flank!
