My Dad taught me to gamble when I was knee high to a grasshopper. He survived for a number of years as a proffessional gambler and he taught me everything he knew. It kept us out of the poor house a few times. I played cards. That is the only way to gamble where there are any kind of decent odds. Playing the slots or the tables is just throwing away your hard earned money. With Poker is at least there is a little skill involved. Shalom~Salaam~Peace

Wish you luck in that, anyway I don't think gambling can make a living. Its can make you a lot richer and can also make you alot poorer.

Gambling for a few dollars once in a while could be considered as a form of an acceptable good amusement. Yesterday when we walked pass a lottery booth, my son and I each bought a lottery and scratched. My son got an instant reward of $2. He still made a profit of $1 in this deal. We still got the hope of getting the grand price on the drawing day later on.

Hi lkbooi, you are right about it. A few dollars once in a while won't do you any harm.

No, I dont gamble. I personally avoid it because I think it would be too tempting to me to keep going until I win (which would probably be never ). It would be irresponsible for me to waste money that is needed to take care of my family on a card game that I am not guaranteed to win. If someone has enough money that they are able to set some aside and can control themself to only use the designated money, then I don't see any problem in gambling. In that case, it would seem like any other type of entertainment. You never get your money back when you go to the movies or a concert, so it wouldn't matter if you didn't get your money back from gambling. I think it is personal preference, but a dangerous one. Many people get addicted and ruin their lives and relationships because of gambling.

I'm not so big on the lottery but I have been known to try my hand at casino games. Now not slot machines or video poker, thats just not interesting or entertaining to me at all. Really I love to play Texas hold'em poker, Blackjack, Craps (big player there) and I'll sit for some Roullette every now and then. Card games are such a test of skill and luck that its very appealing to me. Craps is just so much fun to me but I get that from my Dad and my Grandfather who both taught me how to play as I was growing up. When it comes to Roullette I just love the nervous build up and then the ultimate let down or surprise win. I would like it to be known that i don't have a gambling problem! Just to get that out there, lol.

I have been in the share market for a long time.I have seen many ups and downs.Nowadays share market seems to be a gamble at it's best by the look of the things and the unpredictable nature.

I gamble, though rarely. The most I've ever played is the lottery (Super Lotto and Mega Millions), and bingo. The only reason I went to bingo was for my mom because she was wanting me to go for years and once I was old enough I thought I might as well give it a try. LOL I went 3 or 4 times and won 2 of those times, but I found it boring and since having kids I haven't gone back. LOL Gambling is fine so long as one doesn't become addicted to it.

Hello, Yes I gamble especially in the internet. Actuallly in my side gambling is a nice hobby for me. But too much gambling and addiction is bad. The more you loose the more you are tempted to gamble since you want to get your cash back and in the end lucky for you if you end up winning abd sad if you end up as a looser. I had a great time in gambling online you can check out www.gazamble.com its an all in one site perfect for gambling players like me and you.

I don't gamble at all. I think it's a very harmful and bad habit. Nobody can win from the gambling. Buying lottery is fine. You know, most of the lottery money will donate to the poors and people who need it.

i really don't do gambling a lot, i just do it for fun with friends and family members, we get more into playing cards when we have money at stake but its not really a large amount that we bet, we bet like .25 cents per person who joins in. though i never tried buying lotto yet, i feel as though i can't win in that, i never am lucky with those things.lol

Its something you can get addicted to. I like to go to the boat or play the lottery but only if I can afford it.
