I am planning a wedding for May 07 and I have no clue where to even start. I know we want a church wedding and i already have the church picked out. But I don't know what to do first. Any ideas? We are on a budget too.

look online. there are a ton of websites that help u plan out the details of ur wedding. u will need flowers if u want them, dresses for the brides maids if u want them, pick out everyone u want in the weddings, invitations and ty cards for gifts, music, food, and such things. hope this helps.

The best thing to do is purchase a few bridal magazines, they always have what to do in there and they have colour schemes flower arrangements some even have a diary type check list where it will give you first thing to do to last thing. They have dress styles, hair styles do's and don'ts and lots of advice. I am not married yet, but I was given about 30 magazines to look through froma friend, they are helpful and fun to look at too. I made a scrap book up of my favorite ideas also, then I could easily refer back when I needed to.

If you are on a tight budget, I suggest that do other things like printing the invitations and wedding favors on your own. Regarding the first thing to do, I guess listing the friends and the participants in the wedding first so that you will know how many visitors are coming.

First, breathe and relax. I know it can be overwhelming. Ive been there. next, plan out things to do. Organize it. List everything that u need, reception, bridal dress, groom, entourage, invitation, flowers, giveaways, photos, videos... Canvass ur possible supplier for each one. List down ur choices and mark the best one u like. Then make a draft of the guest list. So u can at the same time find out how many invitations u need to make. Always put in extras coz ul never know who u forgot. Create ideas on the dress and decorations. U can surely choose over the net www.maggiesottero.com or www.davidsbridal.com lovely sites! Dont get too excited on the dresses though because u will forever chnage ur mind which one is more beautiful lol But really, organization is the key to get ur planning smooth and able. I did it on my own mind you. hardly anyone helped me on the planning stage except my husband. but its ok anyway since i cant really fully entrust it to anyone without me worrying. lol Congratulations and Good Luck!!

The first thing you have to do is do your guest list. The venue for the reception that you will choose will depend on the number of your guests. When you have the guest list, book the church & the reception venue. Then scout around (either through magazines, the internet, attending bridal fairs) for your prospective caterers, cake maker, florist, phtographer. I think these are the major details you need to deal with first. Hope I was able to help.

I helped plan my sister-in-laws wedding we spent a total of 500.00 on the entire event by doing it all our selves. I make cakes so I did the wedding cake and all the decorations. Which I bought online I just did a web search and found wedding supplies real cheap. I though It was a great day considering it was all done last minute. she gave me a weeks notice. She even got her gown by internet. Only costing 90 dollars. You can find so many good deals online I wish you the bet of luck.
