I have read both the books and according to me from a fiction point of view 'Angels and Demons' is more thriling and it has more suspense than 'The Da Vinchi Code'. The Da Vinchi Code gain more popularity only because it was controversial. What you guys think?

"The Da Vinci Code" became more popular because of the film adaptation which didn't faithfully follow to book. It was more of a contraversy since the Movie medium was more easily a medium to spread the content of the book compared to the book alone. Movies tend to have that affect on viewers since visible information is attained easily than reading. The Church in our country didn't like the content 'cause it was going against some of the beliefs in the church. Yet the book was based of facts none the less.. The "Angels and Demons" is more thrilling in the sense that... should I spoil the details? Nah, read it ^_^

I must agree that the "Da Vinci Code" got more popular and most probably because it was indeed controversial. I know that even before announced that they were making the movie, it was already a bestseller. I would say though that like you, I found "Angels and Demons" more thrilling. In fact, it is my favorite among the four Dan Brown novels.

When you say Thrilling I would vote for Angels and Demons. I finished the entire book fighting my sleep in one whole night. It was too good. Davinci code, is a pleasure reading one.

I think both Da vinci code and Angels and demons are real pageturners because I was thrilled both times but when compared I would vote for Angels and Demons. I think Da vinci Code gained popularity beecause it was controversial and also because of the movie that followed.
