Own Domain

I am thinking to have my own domain for my blog (get to paid by blog).
But i don't know what is the advantage and disadvantage have own domain?
Is anyone know about this? Or maybe you also have own domain for your blog? How much you pay per year for own domain?

hi. the advantage is when you have to move to another host, people will still be able to reach you, because all they need to know is only your domain name. I also have my own domain. the disadvantage is ... if someone seek your domain registrar information (if you don't protect it), they will get your personal information like phone, address, etc. but as long as you use your domain for the good sake (not breaking laws), you don't need to worry.
well, I applied my domain from one local register service company, they charged me around IDR 75000 (or USD 8) at that time. you may find cheaper price somewhere else. godaddy.com for example.

hello. I paid IDR 75000 (which is around USD 8) for one year. we can register it for a minimum one year. some people who grabbed favorite domain name, they even registered their domain name for 10 years. you can check www.netsol.com for a brief look about how a domain name registering work.

If you have your own business, it is preferred to have your own domain so people will respect that you are professional.
A domain name will cost you from $0.0 to $10 dollars. Free domain name is included in many webhosting company. You just need to search which best suit your needs!

i think if you have domain more better, because you can put more idea but your's, not quit sure actually.
