you change your tootbrush if the bristles are bending already, you do not have to change it that often.

toothbrush - I change it every month
I change mine once every month. I change my son's every month too. My husband changes it once every three months. He keeps teasing me because I change it every month. But I guess I do some vigorous brushing...mine looks a little frayes end of the month and I don't like it that way. so, I change it.

Every three months is the proper time to change your toothbrush.

Well, from what i've heared the dentists or doctors say it is around 3 months maximum a toothbrush should be used. I usually change 4-6 brushes every year and I think that's quite fine, actually.

I buy a toothbrush called Oral B soft which has a color indicator on it. When the bristles color starts to fade, you throw it out and buy a new one. That's the best way to tell because some people brush once a day, some twice, some three times and some even more than that. Take care

I would say that at least every six months and possibly less than that. When we got our dental checkups every six months, we got a new toothbrush and threw the old one away. The toothbrush becomes softer and spreads out, even if you sterilize it in boiling water and it cannot get between your teeth or remove the plaque and the gunk on your teeth that easily.

hi mycharm! ^__^ dentists say the ideal gap to change toothbrush is 3 months. but they also say that if the toothbrush looks worn out already even if three months hasn't passed yet, then, its time to change it. ^__^ for me i follow that. i change toothbrush whenever its already worn out, even if only a month had pass. but if the toothbrush is not worn out yet and its already 3 months, i buy a new one. ^__^

I have read that we should change our toothbrush every 2 months, even if it still looks ok. Within that 2 month period, it's also a good idea to run it under boiling water every now and again to get rid of any germs that may be lurking in it.

I read in the newspaper one day that toothbrush should be changed every 3-4 months because it contains the germs instead and it's the only hygiene way to change it every quarter. So you change it every three months and it's absolutely fine!

I change my toothbrush at least once every two months. Sometimes, when I see that my toothbrush needs some changing, I need not wait for the next month. When I get sick like when I get a flu or colds or tonsilitis, I make sure that I change my toothbrush immediately. Obsessive-Compulsive? Yeah, maybe. lol!

Hi, It is better if you change the tooth brush for every 2 months. I request you to brush your teeth twice a day i.e. before bed and after u wakeup. Weekly once u brush with salt, so that your teeth will not get destroy and it will be shining..Use always good company brush or get a prescribed brush from the dentist

I change it every month or after I am sick. If you are sick you have to change your toothbrush right away. In between it is good to run boiling water over your toothbrush once a week...

I have two tooth brushes, and I change them every three months. But I heard that tooth brush should not be used for a long time. But I am not sure how often.

I am pretty sure that the current recommendation for changing out your tooth brush is every 3 months. I do not keep track but I guess a good measure as to when to do it would be at the change of the seasons. I just ditch mine when it starts to loose its shape, so long as it does the job and is comfortable for me, I do not see the purpose in throwing it out. I do, however, think it is a good idea to replace your toothbrush after an illness - or mouth infection

I think once every 1-2 months is okay if you don't use the brush too often - like twice a day at most. That's what my dentist said. But as a rule of thumb, change it if you had been sick or if the bristles wear out.

From what I have read, tootbrush should be changed at least once a month. To some it would be every 2 months. As for me I actually am using this brush which has this blue color in between the brushes and will fade when its time to change. In most of my used, it actually reaches up to 1 to two months before completely fading so thats about the time I change by tootbrush.
