I have been many places for a southern lady that never expected to go out of the country. It was my dream to travel beyond the US. I have been to Cebu, an island in the Phillipines. I enjoyed being there. The hotel staff were great. We went shopping, (of course). There were some vendors on the roads selling items. We purchased things for all of the children and grandchildren. The same for Thailand, which was beautiful before the Tidal wave destroyed the place where we stayed. They say it has been restored. We have been to several different place in Thailand. I rode and elephant and fed them as well as the monkeys. In Taiwan the mountains and the cities are beautiful. What impressed me is that all shop keepers sweep the sidewalks and the roadside curbs. Also, there are no billboard signs to clutter the roads. You will see people out by the highways gathering herbs. The taxi drivers will scare you to death with the way they drive on the mountainous roads. Temples are absolutely beautiful and numerous. The people are friendly. I loved being here. I have been a lot of places in the US. If you see my favorites you'll know where all. I just wanted to know where you all have been and what have you seen or done there?

Yes Ive been to the U.S. My first stop was Houston Texas for my cousins wedding but it was 4 years ago. It was pretty hot there because it was summer time, but what amazed me is their long freeways, I think they have the longest freeways in the US, Ive even seen a snake swirling around the freeway LOL! And then I stayed mostly at San Diego and Sacramento California were I saw the capitol and a lot of squirrels, it was near winter then. Before winter I went to stay with my relatives at Honolulu, Hawaii, it's one of my fave places where you could actually see beaches near your area. And then lastly was when I skied near Lake Tahoe. It was a blast and I wish to go back there this year. ^_^

I really love to travel and have been to almost 50 different countries. My favorite of these are Australia, New Zealand, Samoa and Belize. I love to go island hopping, be on tropical beaches, meet the local people and see native wildlife. I have been on a safari to Kenya and I saw elephants, a leopard, lions, zebras, giraffes and rhinos. I liked to see kangaroos and koalas in Australia and penguins and dolphins in New Zealand. I really liked the scenic beauty of the Seychelles and the fun of cycling over La Digue Island and then taking a walking track to a beautiful little cove. I like watching sunrises but I have to get up very early to see one. I walked through the dark jungle of Guatemala and past the Mayan ruins of Tikal. Then I climbed a Mayan ruin and watched the sky turn from black to orange, purple and pink to blue. Then the birds started chatting and the monkeys started to howl and swing around. Happy traveling.

I have been to DC, Balitomore, Chicago, Oregon, Canada, Japan, and India. I usually travel for protests or conferences at which I am speaking. Someday, I want my life to be stable and politics are going well enough that I will be able to take a real vacation.
