We just watched Balls of Fury over weekend

It was not what I expected it to be. I thought it was going to be a spoof on other movies, like Epic Movie but it wasn't. It actually had a story to it. Honestly, I am glad I didn't go see it at the movies, but it is worth renting, especially if you are a Def Leppard Fan. LOL
My husband wasn't going to watch it but he wound up sitting through the whole thing. My 11 year old liked it, it was over my 6 year olds head.

My 10 year old made me get this one to watch. It was funny. A bit corny for my taste. but still funny.
She also made us watch Blades of Glory - also funny, and Stranger than Fiction - a bit more sophisticated funny. -Tink

Yes, it was a bit corny but it made you laugh.
I loved Blades of Glory!!! Will Ferrel is awesome!!! I think I have finally seen all his movies.
Stranger than Fiction, I'm not familiar with, will have to go read up on it.

The movie was pretty ridiculous but it did a good job of spoofing all thoses "rise up and succeed" sports movies. Christopher Walken did a good job of comedy which is not usually his style. He was really the only reason I went to see it. Oh, and the guy from Reno 911. Overall, slightly entertaining, but just another film that will wind up in the bargin bin with all the other stupid movies of the past 6 years trying to recreate the success of Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2. Movie studios need to learn its just not going to happen!

It's not a fantastic movie...and it's not exactly funny too. The worst part - I hate to see my favourite actor, Jason Scott Lee, get kicked. But fortunately the popcorn in my hand is comforting...u may have guessed, I watched it in the theater.

I think I enjoyed it more since we didn't see it at the movies. I know that is probably wrong, but when I am going and spending $50 it better be a blockbuster type movie.
