Kreacher?

I think he either lived in the Hogwarts Castle (with the other house-elves), in the Black family home (alone), with Harry and Ginny's family, or he was free. JK didn't really elaborate. But he was warming up to Harry before, and he was sure liking Hermione so maybe his hatred for Muggle borns and Muggle lovers started to wane and he might have lived with Harry.

Hmm I dont remember it very well but I thought hermione told Harry to free Kreacher by giving something to him. In the fight kreacher was the leader of the house elfs, I think he stayed with them after.

I read that book within 3 days after it was released. I don't recall what happened to him. Didn't he die during the battle? GRR. I am going to have to go reread it now.
