Are you happy with your physical appearance?

No, this is not a lead-in to some weight loss or plastic surgery advertisement. Are you happy with your hair color, your eye color, the size of your nose? "If" you could change one thing about your physical appearance without cost, surgery or criticism, what would that be?

I wish I were happy with my appearance. I don't like my hair or my face or my figure. I would love to have really long hair. Right now it is collar length. I have too many freckles and my nose is too wide. I have a poochy belly and large thighs. My coworker likes to play with my flabby upper arms. I wouldn't know how to choose just one thing to fix/change.

I'm sorry to hear that you are so unhappy with yourself. I deal with that all the time with my daughter. She is truly beautiful, but she doesn't see it. She hates everything about herself except for (and this is just silly) her wrists. She says she thinks she has pretty wrists. Go figure... Is there, perhaps, something that you DO like about yourself? Some of the things that you are unsatisfied with can be changed; some more easily than others. Hair length can be achieved just by not cutting it so short each time. The weight could be achieved by healthier eating, exercise and commitment which would be a little harder than not cutting hair. The only things that would require something drastic would be the freckles and the nose. Thank you for your response Trace :)

I am very fond of my eyes. They are the most amazing color blue. My mom used to call them the "barometer to my soul". When I get sick or sad, they turn grey.

I don't think that proportion is bad, but if you wish to be taller, then that's your wish. My son was 4'8 forever and he hated it. Now he's finally grown a bit, but he's still short. He's waiting for that growth spurt that will put him at the same size as other kids his age.

I am fine with everything except my hips. If I could get them to be smaller I would do that. The rest of my body I am alright with. Than of course I do color my hair so I would have to include that. I don't like it when the gray starts to show.

I dye my hair as well, but I started long before any possible gray hair. I actually haven't dyed it in quite some time; since I cut all my hair off, but it's about time to do it again now that it's growing back out. Thanks for your response!

i know that my face isn't perfect, but i'm actually kinda okay with how i look these days. but if i could change something it would still definitely be my weight. if i could be down to my goal weight, not only would i be happier with my appearance but i'd be so much healthier too. and it would be nice to actually have a flat tummy for once in my life!

Everyone struggles with weight at some point. Some trying to lose it and some trying to gain it. Losing weight is something that you could obtain on your own albeit it would require a lot of hard work and commitment on your part. I am trying to lose all the weight I gained while I was disabled with back problems. It's working, just not as fast as one would like. Thank you for your response!
