Do you have an order when you wash dishes?

The dishwasher isn't working too well so I've been doing them by hand. I like to wash utensils first, then cups and glasses, then bowls, plates, I save the pots and pans for last. I don't do that every single time but mostly I like to keep that order. I think I got it from one of those dish washing liquid commercials and they were saying if you do it that way the water stays cleaner and not as greasy if you save the heavy stuff for last. What's your order?

I have a perfectly good dishwasher but I prefer to do dishes by hand. My order is- throw them anyway at all, as quickly as possible. Use lots of hot water and dish-soap. Swirl the dishrag around and rinse them under hot water and, as My Grandfather used to say. . . "there goes Grama with the dishrag hangin to her nose!"

I wash the glasses first. Then the cups,bowls and plates. I then wash the silverware and utensiles. I save the pots and pans for last too.

Isn't it funny how we fall into routines and sometimes don't even know how or when it happened! I have a very similar order in which I wash dishes by hand. I do my glasses first, then utensils, plates and last the pots/pans. I really want fresh, clean water when I am doing the glasses as they are so difficult to rinse that any amount of oil or grease seems to stay inside them.

I don't have a dishwasher so I have always washed my dishes by hand. I wash my cups and glasses first, than my utensils and than bowls and plates. When I get ready to wash pots and pans I dump out the water and put clean in. I have always done it that way.

I put everything but the pots and pans in the dishwasher. I usually do plates then bowls then cups and then everything else. Silverware is usually mixed in the drill somewhere.
