Have you ever heard of this? Well this morning my son was still running a fever of almost 102, he has had the fever for a couple days most of the time being in the 101.3 area. I decided to look on the internet for any home remedies since medicine was really working, I came across this site called earthclinic.com and they had the remedy of using egg whites. I was a little skeptical at first but really wanted to get his fever to break, I even gave him a warm bath and that didn't work. So I took 4 eggs, put the egg whites in a bowl and soaked 2 paper towels in the whites and wrapped them around his feet and put his socks over them. I left them on for 20-30 minutes and then took his temperature, it went down to 97.7! I was really amazed by this, I never would have thought egg whites could work better than over the counter medicines. If your child is running a fever I would recommend trying this, it really worked for me. But keep in mind to use either paper towels, hand kerchiefs or another type of thin fabric.... regular towels won't work since they absorb mot of the egg whites. Just thought I would share this with parents since its a scary feeling when your child runs a fever, even if it a little one. •¤•Good Luck•¤•

This 'cure' is Bogus, a Hoax and a Fraud! My poor wife was gullible enough to attempt this remedy. The internet is a vast wasteland of ridiculous antidotes and witchdoctor-esque remedies and this is active proof. This is either a misguided ancient American Indian ritual or a sick prank from some demented blogger. The subject of a child's fever is no joking matter. If their brain gets too hot it can cause permanent damage and hospitalization. Take Tylenol or Motrin and be done w/ it.

I just tried this rememdy and Im absolutely amazed. I woke up this morning to find that my daughter wasn't making any noise and didn't have the tv on cartoons. Now, for all parents this is an immediate red flag, especially on a Saturday morning. I went to check on her and she had a temperature of 104.3. This is not good at all and I probably should have taken her to the emergency room right then and there. But, I decided to give her some motrin first. It helped, but it wasn't working fast enough. At such a high temperature as that one it needs to come down very quickly. I then put a cool rag on her head and under her arms. The fever still was not coming down fast enough. After that, I stumbled across this remedy on the internet and said to myself if this doesn't work she's going to the emergency room. By this time her temp was about 103.5. I soaked some napkins in 4 egg whites and placed them on her feet and put some socks over them. In the amount of time that it took me to re-cool her rags the temperature had dropped to 102. That was about 10 minutes ago. Checking it again......101.3. I'm amazed!!! This really does work.
