I've both watched them and they're both good. Ever after is so good. After watching it I look for books so that I can read it.

loved the film, loved the story, loved drew barrymore - she's so pretty in it and loved the ending. can't afford to buy my own copy, though.

I agree - Every After is the best version of Cinderella. I was hooked the first time I saw it - and that was only the last few minutes of the ending where the carriage pulls away from the castle and they span the view. I had to get the movie! I've watched it so much I wore out that DVD and am in search of a new one... Enchanted was also good, not sure that I'd watch it as much as Ever After. I don't think I've ever seen the Count of Monte Cristo, I'll have to check that one out.

One of my favorite Drew Barrymore movie! And I also believe it is the best Cinderella movie. Not just because of the very good story telling, acting, scenes, sounds and anything that a good movie can offer. What really astonished me with this movie is how they made the lead character (played by Drew) not your typical Cinderella. She's still that loving daughter, humble and respectful but in this movie, she is somebody not easily shoved around. She knows how to assert her rights!

Yes, and that is something that can't be seen easily on old times woman. It was showed when they were cornered by the bandits. I think that is the first time the prince really likes her.

This is in my opinion one of the best Cinderella films. It gives the story more dimension by giving "Cinderella" more character through Danielle. It ties in people and events of historical signifigance. There was romance, action, comedy, and drama. The costumes were wonderful and colorful, and it presented a wide variety of lessons to learn. I absolutely love this movie.
