I focused on my 3 sons today. When they awoke this morning, I told them I had a surprise waiting for them on the kitchen table from me. They were each given one 2-pack of "Kinder Surprise Eggs" in a special heart shaped box. They LOVE Kinder Surprise, so I try to get them at each special occasion, especially Easter and Christmas.
This is actually the first year I remembered to get something for the boys for Valentine's Day though. Usually my efforts are focused on making sure they have their school valentines cards filled out and ready to go, along with treats for their class parties.

It doesn't look good for us. My husband is working days which means he doesn't get home until after 7pm. So going out for dinner won't happen. He's usually asleep by 8:30/9:00. We talked about holding it over until Friday however I now have an appointment first thing in the morning to take my van in to the dealership because the "check engine" light is on and DH won't let it go any longer. Life has been so hectic lately (especially with so many no bus days and kids home so often) we just haven't been able to find much time alone together at all! I'm hoping we'll go out for lunch on Friday... if we have a vehicle.

Hello there, Happy Valentine’s Day! My husband just gave me and my daughter a warm kiss while we had breakfast this morning. My daughter had prepared a lovely and meaningful card for us. I bought a box of chocolates to celebrate. That is all. As today is Thursday, we are busy with the work and daily chore. Maybe tomorrow evening we will go out of a usual meal. LOL

Maybe go out to "Outback Steakhouse" with my hubby. We for sure don't need any chocolate. We had enough through Thanksgiving & Christmas. What about you missy? :o)
