Mating by Munching, weird or not?

Do you find that insects and animals that mate and then eat it's mate are kind of disturbing? I for one do think so. Praying mantis do that and also black widow spiders. Risky business huh? And do you guys know any other animals that do that?

The male sacrifices himself for his babies. He becomes food for the new mother so she can be healthy. Female Spiders, Praying Mantis, and Scorpions will all eat the male after mating. Im glad humans dont do this. I dont think I could eat my partner. Did you know that male seahorses are the ones to give birth? The mom just contributes the eggs and he fertilizes, carrys and gives birth to them. I wish men could do that!!!
