Well I dont think this storm will get us snowed in but it is great to see finally. I have been waiting for a decent snowstorm here in Minnesota. I've tired of the temps way below zero without a huge snowfall. But now it's started. I'm excited actually if you can't tell. Anyhow I shopveled the drive when I left to get the wife from owkr. An hour later I returned home and theres another inch at least that had fallen. Now it's snowing like mad. Supposed to get about 6 inches. Still not enough for me but it'll do for now. Do you love huge snowstorms of a foot or more? Do you love playing in the snow as it's falling? Do you make snow angels? Snowmen at all? Anyhow I'm excited the storm finnaly didn't take it's udual soutrh turn this time around. I am getting my snow I've been begging for. Thanks all.

I used to love it when we would get snowed in - no school, work, just 'family' time making the most of the situation. It has been some time since we've had a really good snow but we also got hit with this same storm just a few hours after you. They say we only got 3-4 inches but it in our yard it looks measures 5-6. Not snowed in though - son shoveled drive early in the evening and then again before he went to bed.

Well here in Minnesota it takes a hell of a storm to close the city down like that. A foot or more at least. Here's Busters path after the new storm overnight. I was busy snowblowing the drive as he was out back running and rolling in the new snow so missed a photo opp. I tried to get him to go back out but the winds have started again and the temp is dropping rapidly. Also another night of below zero temps tonight expected. The weather people predicting -11 for Minneapolis which means it'll be near -15 here. Ugghh! HAHAHAHA!!

Oh oh means it will be here the next night - I have't watched the weather today just enjoying not having the sub-zero temps and no snow or rain.

None of this happens where I live. I would quite like to experience a big snowstorm.
I have seen snow, but only when its lying flat & not a lot of iot.
I saw snow in Hungary & China. Also I have been to the Snopwy monutains in Victoria &^ New SouthWales, once.
It costs a lot to holiday in the snow regions.
Have fun shovelling snow.

I saw the news last night and seen the radar from up north. I knew you would be happy, I was expecting this post. I am really happy because it seems the bulk of it will be staying up north. We just got a good snowfall. I am ready for spring. I am ready to get the yard ready for the garden. Have un in the snow. My grandson wants to make a snow dude, he is 3 yrs. old. The snow won't pack good right now, its too cold.

HAHAHAHA!!! Thanks. It has been odd with so many of our storms drifting south this winter. Finally a decent one stayed north and hit us. Wooo Hooo! I also can't weait for spring to start digging the garden areas up including the flower beds of mine. I am about ready to start indoor seeds as well. Tomatoes and green peppers first. This new snow is so powdery and soft it wont pack either. Here's a nice shot of the tree across the strret that looks beautiful with the fresh snow on it's branches.

If I've got enough supplies, I love a huge snowfall. Although, there tend to be more accidents because people aren't as cautious as they should be. But if it is going to be really cold, it's kind of like cheating if we get no snow for all our frigid trouble, lol. Does your wife have to go to work if a lot of snow comes down?

It depends on the conditins of the roads if she works or not as she takes the bus usually. If the roads are really bad I'll drive her unless the city is shut down. A few times in the winter I either pick her up earlier as they close due to lack of customers or she takes a bus to the mall near us if possible. So only if the city shuts down she doesn't go to work. HAHAHA! The roads here this morning were hectic to say the least. Many many spinouts and accidents early. The highways were wet and a little slippery but side streets were snow packed and icy in spots.

I love the pic Grandpa Bob, you got a good shot there. Wow, 6 inches is going to be a lot of snow. Days like this is good for some nice hot soup.

Six inches is a lot? Not to us Minnesotans. HAHAHA! I am hoping for a strom of at least a foot as it's been a couple years since we had a huge snowfall at one time. Thanks though. I am excited.
