Yes I try to respond to all the responses to my discussions. If people were nice enough to leave a response it's only right for me to reply.

No, I respond to most of the answers, as long as the discussion is active. Once the responses stop coming in, that is after a few days of posting, I lose interest many of the times. Friends or not is not the criterion.

I also try to add a comment to most respopnses as it's common courtesy to acknowldge their time and effort. I know I like seeing members add comments to my responses. I also slow down after a discussion is quite old etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I almost respond to all responses to my discussions. But at times I am at a loss for words to respond to some that say things like 'Yes you are right'.I just leave them alone.

Hi bala, I think if someone posted "Yes you are right" the answer can be " I may be wrong", " of course I'm right" ..... Sometime I do post that "you are right" when I'm lost of words.

I respond to those discussions which I can write with ease having some knowledge about that subject...I dont respond where I think I'll be unable to explain my viewpoint, whether its started by my friend or anybody else.

I do not unless I have something to add to the discussion. The myLot discussion guidelines encourages that, and not just to thank everyone who responded. http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

Hi there lynnchua! When I start my own discussion, I always thank people who posted their response. As to other topics, I usually post response to topics that has no or a few responses only. This is mostly because I don't want my opinion to be affected somehow by responses posted before mine. But when it starts rolling, I check the related topics after I posted a response and post response to all the topics that I find interesting and I feel that I can contribute in.

I have found that it is easier to just reply to the things that interest you because you will tend to have a better answer.

I always try my best to comment all responses of my discussions. Besides courtesy, I regard it as a mutual correspondence for the benefit of both parties. By this way we could understand our friends or responders more deeply. I treat myself as the host of the discussion and have the responsibility to entertain every guest well, but not exclusively for those in my friends list only.
