How Do You Stay Positive?

We have all heard of that old saying about turning fate's lemons into lemonade. In our modern lives, this would translate to turning a former potted plant into a dry flower arrangement, making a hair mask from a bruised bananas and enjoying a breakfast off the grand dinner last night that half of the expected guests did not turn up for. Got the picture? Real life snitches in which problems turn into a golden opportunities crop up once in a while, but chances to turn your evil impulses into something positive come up everyday. So how do you transmute your being pessismist, being always jealous, envy and being always depressed into something positive??

My positive energy comes from Jesus and my baby girl. Whenever I feel depressed or negative, I think of what kind of impact that it'll have on her, and I'd change my demeanor right away. And I know that Jesus is watching my every step. He is my witnessed, so I shall do my best to enjoy life and stay positive. There will be those times that I will slip up, but He is a kind and caring God, and will light the way for me. And my daughter keeps me busy, so there isn't time to be pessimistic, even if I wanted to be.

Thats pretty good lady thanks for the response. Yes i agree with your ways, sometimes whenever im tired of explaining a lot of things to the people around me about things and stuff, i just kept quiet and just think that who cares if you believe it or not, what matters most is that He know everything and to Him i need not explain. =) thanks for the response lady.

Well, I can't honestly say I ever get jealous or envious, it's simply a waste of my time. I don't have much to get jealous of or be envious of. *shrug* But pessimistic? Oh you betcha! As for how I deal with it, I guess I don't. I've come to terms with the fact that it's part of who I am, and I'm happy with that. There's a bright side to always looking on the downside. When something good DOES happen, it's always a welcome surprise. And if something bad happens, well ... I was expecting it anyway so there's no surprise or disappointment. For me especially, it's hard to be optimistic when you see human stupidity day after day. I run an animal rescue, and after enough time seeing animals abused, neglected and abandoned, and hearing some of the stupid ridiculous reasons and excuses people give for abandoning their 'beloved pets', it's impossible to remain optimistic about the human race. While there may be good ones among it, in general, humans have been the most destructive and hurtful species the earth has homed yet. Our greed and self importance has ruined the very planet we depend on for survival, not to mention the destruction and suffering of the rest of it's inhabitants. I'm comforted by the fact that eventually human beings will die off, then maybe the earth and the animals in it, the ones we don't manage to kill off completely, can get back to some semblance of balance. See? Positive all the way down the line ... lol.

I admire you at what you do Cini! Running a shelther for the abandoned pets is so kind of you. Youre the living proof that some humans are not that really selfish. I wish I could do the same but I dont have the resources and all those stuff. Well dont be destructed cini, just go on with what you do and I'm sure He will reward you with a LOT of good things in the future. God bless you cini!
