Its natural for people to look for a new job from their desk as most people have access to a computer and internet at work, which they may not at home. However, that does not mean its not risky. You may not want to advertise your job-seeking to your current empoye ans risk getting fired if he or she finds out. So how do you window-shop for other jobs without getting caught? Do you think its a bad thing to do?

I guess it would be quite easy for me to job hunt from my desk seeing as my role is very HR oriented and I do the recruitment for my company. It's ironic really that I can sit and look at job search sites all day and no one would suspect me of looking for another job BUT I really do love my job so wouldn't actually be doing that anyway LOL! If I get to the stage where I want to look for something else, I really wouldn't do it on work time because I would certainly want to ensure I got a decent reference and spending you whole day looking for a new job whilst getting paid for your old one sure isn't a way to stay in your employer's good books nor encourage them to give you a glowing reference.

Thats pretty smart anonymili!! very practical! lol! yea i guess that a normal and very common thing to do. I have a boss who roam around the office checking if we, her slaves (lol) are doing our works. So what I do is to go early to work and just go job searching. In such way she would not catch me doing those things. lol. thanks for the response!
