I came across this article the other day: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/577703/the_five_greatest_country_love_songs.html Do you agree with the songs selected? Or, do you think there are better choices.

I dont' know if this is considered a love song since they are technically singing about love lost. But I really, really like, "Like We Never Loved At All".

I don't know if this falls into the love category considering that they are singing about love lost in a way. But I really, really like, "Like We Never Loved AT All".

Conway Twitty - A photo of the late, great, Conway Twitty.
Well, I definitely expected to find The Rose by Conway Twitty on that list...very dissappointed that it's nowhere near that list! The further back you go into country music, the better the love songs get. Some say love, it is a river And that it drowns the tender reed And some say love, it's like a razor And that it leaves your soul to bleed. Some say love, it is a hunger An endless aching need I say love, it is a flower And you, it's only seed. It's a heart afraid of breaking That never learns to dance It's the dream afraid of waking That never takes the chance It's the one who won't be taken Who cannot seem to give And the soul afraid of dying That never learns to live. When the night has been too lonely And the road has been too long And you think that love is only For the lucky and the strong Just remember in the winter Far beneath the bitter snows Lies the seed that with the sun's love In spring becomes the rose... Take me back to Loretta & Conway and Dolly & Kenny anyday! lol.

I like the first two. I haven't heard the others. I think there are more love songs out there to chose from.
