It's Always In The Last Place You Look

- Of course it is. You would be an idiot to keep looking after you had already found it. Happy Valentine's Day to one and all. I am celebrating this "joyous" day searching for my engagement ring. Why? Because sometime between 12:10 AM and 11:00 AM yesterday, it grew legs and walked off of my window sill behind the sink in my kitchen. Before anyone says I am an idiot and it had fallen down the drain, let me describe this ring. It is a 1.18 ct. marquise cut center stone that is surrounded by two thick gold bands. Each of those gold bands holds 20 baguette cut diamond accents. If looking at your finger this ring would sit from the bottom of your knuckle to the bottom of your finger. It is that big. So NO, it didn't fall down my sink drain. My children haven't seen it. My brother hasn't seen it. I'm really starting to think it just jumped off of the window sill onto the floor and the rottweiler ate it! Someone tell me, how do you find something when you lose it? I have torn my kitchen apart. If I don't find it my kids might end up with my ashes as gemstones from my cremation a whole lot sooner than I ever anticipated because my honey is going to kill me. LOL HELP!

He wouldn't lie to me about something like this. He sees how much of a wreck I am so no, I know he didn't take it. If I have to go outside with a stick and dig through dog doo doo I'm gonna kill him.

LMAO...I would kill him too but if you ripped your kitchen apart..sounds like it's possible that he ate it. Are you completely positive that you didn't put it in the bathroom or your bedroom, a jewelry box or somthing?

Take a deep breath my dear. Start back tracking your steps through the house. Yes I understood and saw you say that the ring was on the window sill. But if it can't fit down the drain you have limited options. Maybe someone moved it maybe the kids decided to move it and don't want to get in trouble. There are endless possibilities and I don't even want to list them all..LOL! I would search and seizure every room of the house until it's found and have the kids join in.

Did you check your finger, dear? That's the last place anyone looks! Just like the grandpa walking around with his spectacles on his head and hunting for them! After my second child, I seem to be so absent minded, I probably won't be of any help for you. I don't even remember where I put stuff anymore. I walk around like a zombie most of the time.

I have searched for hours for my glasses only to find them on top of my head and couldn't find my keys and they were clipped to my pocket. I am forever doing that kind of thing. But trust me, if this thing were on my finger I would have to be blind to miss it!

Hope you've found it by now...I always pray to St Anthony...it really works. It goes like this Dear St Anthony, help me pray, to finf my (name the item)without delay. Always remember to say thanks too. Isn't it strange how rings disappear. That one of yours sounds gorgeous by the way.

It's funny because I helped look for this thing and we couldn't find it but it did eventually turn up.
