Is it me or did they change the title to just "Idol"?

I thought it was American Idol. I'm a little miffed at the girl from Ireland and the guy from Australia, making it into the top 24. Even though the Aussie is a hottie!!!
This is only the second season I watched it so I am still kinda of a novice, but I think they took 2 spots that should have gone to people here in the USA.
Am I being petty or has this happened in prior seasons?

Hi Kim,
Well, it is called American Idol, but I do believe if you are in the USA wether visa or parents came here when you were little, or whatever, you are still eligible for the try outs. Yes the Aussie is the hottie this year and I like the 16 year old too, don't remember the name as of yet though. lol
I think you are right, but they didn't fly in to try out, they were already here and the girl from Ireland, she made it in season 5, but her visa wasn't renewed in time so she was disqualified, but she is back for this season. :)

I was just reading that Carly had a record deal. Her first album flopped but she was signed talent. So it will be interesting to see how far she makes it.
I personally do not vote until the finals, but this year I think I am going to vote.
I think the 16 year olds name is David, I think he is great too.
It should be an interesting season.

i thought that ramielle malubay is a filamerican whom i give my cheered about.go girl!!small but terrible. 9i beleive that they compete from the talents they have and not in their own confident.

I hadn't paid attention until last night when the girl from ireland was on and they talked about her visa or something. I did wonder wasn't this supposed to be American idol.
