Value of congressional hearings on sports?

What do you think is the value of congressional hearings on sports? Football and baseball already know about and are dealing with such things as illicit drug use and illicit video taping. Could not Congress spend its time more wisely on issues like healthcare reform, education, lending reform, and multi-million dollar Medicare fraud? And how about stimulating the economy with job programs?
