What inspired your user name?

I'm always curious when I join sites as to why people have titled themselves the way they do. I know that my screen names on sites I'm on are numerous and diverse, but all have little bits of me in them. This one, for example, my nickname is 'Kat' and I love Alice in Wonderland. (Particularly the character the Cheshire Cat. I'm more fond of the actual Lewis Carroll version than the Disney remake.) So what's in a name? Do you feel that another name would do you justice?

Hello CheshireKat, You have an interesting and atrractive name!:-) Mine is simple. It's somehow part of my name and it means fortunate or successful. The figure 12 is a very important figure in different Religions, Cultures, Architectures and history etc. So, that explains my screen name!:-)

Well, Angel, I am indeed fortunate about many things in life, not the least of which is the fact that I have great friends, both online and offline!:-)

Thanks for the compliment, I love the symbolic nature of your name. Plus I like the way it sounds when I read/say it, even if I'm probably not pronouncing it right. Thanks for the response ^^

Hello Kat, My username was given to me by a very good friend in 1999. Prior to that I was using the nick The Old Hag.... LMAO he did not like calling me that on line, it really bothered him. After a great deal of thought I became AngelWhispers. I use it every where on line. It has become part of who I am. When glad came out a couple of years ago with a candle called AngelWhispers. I was indignant. I felt like something had been stolen from me. LMAO I wear it like a badge. :))

The candles being called angel whispers is so strange to me. The last time I checked, whispering was something you sensed with your ears... They were sounds... It was auditory... I'm curious though, what on earth could it smell like? (haha. or in heaven, I guess.) I think 'The Old Hag' is a rather terrible name for anyone, even if it was true (which I don't think it was, if for no other reason than people that are old hags don't really like to admit it. :P) Thanks for sharing. ^^

Aw, that's sweet. Kat is a nickname that the current boyfriend came up with for me (I was usually 'Kate' before.) so I guess mine gets some sort of sentimental touch added too... (as an afterthought LOL) I like your name regardless, though. and just curious, is that Happy Noodle Boy?

My user name is plain and simple, the name was from one of the characters on my favorite PS1 RPG game. Though Raijin played an antagonist on that game, I just loved the name that's why I used it here. I also use another name on a social site, I got tired of using the name for a couple of years now so I decided to go for a change. If mylot only allowed it, then I would as well would go for a change..

If you're talking about Raijin (well, obviously you are) from Final Fantasy VII then I can definitely relate, though I'm more of a fan of Vincent myself. (Yes, yes, standard rates of fangirling shall indeed, ensue.) I always hate fighting the little guys in your icon, whose species name I can't remember. I just know that I hate them and they like to kill my characters. .

My username on here is pretty basic, but I like it well enough as it is easy to remember. :) sac= Sacramento and mom is because I am a mom. See how simple that is? LOL If I could change my username, I would as I think some people on here don't realize sac is for a city, but maybe for something else. But what new username would I choose? I don't know as I have a hard time coming up with such names, so I'd have to think about it for a while as I'd want it to be a good one. :) If only mylot allowed us to change our username...

Yeah, and with being on dial-up it would take me forever to get where I am now. :P Okay, so it would only take a year if I keep up my current pace, but I'd hate to start all over again just to have a new name on here. It just wouldn't be worth it to me.

yeah, I can see how that might cause a problem. You definitely wouldn't want to have to make a new account and lose all of your hard work, but people misinterpreting your name might make conversations a little awkward. Thanks for letting me know, all of these posts are really interesting.

what inspired my username was the fact that everything i see is beautiful and ugly. what i mean by this is that everything, i believe has two sides. for example water and fire etc. i should also mention that i am a visual learner. i like watching movies and i really pick up things easier if there is a picture or an illustration backing up a specific point in a discussion. all of this reasons is where i derived my username maxsee212.

I used to live in Florida- and LOVED it....but had to move back up north due to family issues...so I await summer months with open arms!!

My screen name is my actual name. I am still not sure why I add the 09. I know there was a reason that I started adding that, I'm just not sure why.

I used Winter08 because I joined myLot in January 2008. Typically, January is simply: 1.) the month after Christmas 2.) the first month of the New Year 3.) the coldest month of winter (brrrrr) This year, January is the first month of winter for 2008, the year I: 1.) took a vacation for the first time in over 10 years 2.) realized it was time to leave my job of 20 years 3.) bought an house So when I was needing a user name, Winter08 seemed to be the most appropriate.

LOL...This is a good one. When looking at other's user names, I am always curious about this. Personally, I chose mine because I can get real sassy at time but then at other times I can be as sweet as a kitty, yet as spunky as one too LOL...

I like your nickname, I haven't really heard 'Glene' used before, it's unique. Necromancers are definitely interesting creatures/people/etc. (depending on the game.) Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you like your name, I do too!

What inspired my user name was actually a very difficult and long creative process of finding the most suitable name for me. vicki2876 is Vicki and 28 birthday 76 birth year. I know very complicated and unique huh? Okay I am just kidding around with ya. LOL It is 5 in the morning here and have been up since three and can't sleep, but I have silly sleepy head. Truth I wasn't very creative in picking a name here. I have been using the same one online for years now and it is just my own name and birthdate.
