What do you use - Voltage Regulator or Uninterrupted Power Supply?

Hello mylotters,
I want to know what you use for your computer. Do you use Voltage regulator, Uninterrupted power supply or both.
Me, I used Voltage Regulator but I am planning to purchase UPS for my computer. My friend who is a computer technician do advice me to use UPS because it has a lot of benefits.
As we all know UPS will give continuous power supply of electric power to computer so during unexpected blackouts, it will enable you to properly shut down computer. Thus will help minimize data loss, fatalities and injuries to our computer.
Do you think it would be necessary? Do you use UPS on your own computer? If none for now, do you plan on purchasing UPS to protect your computer? ^_^

Yes I do!, it was recommended, and I know it is better now to use. Is that your daugther,she looks pretty!

That is good! Have you been using that ever since you got a computer? Are UPS expensive?
Nope, she is not my daughter, she is my niece. And yeah, she is indeed pretty and sweet.

UPS is better, it can conserve power when there is a power failure and give you the opportunity to finish the shuting down procedure of the PC, voltage regulator can not do this. so I recommend UPS

Hi there honeylore23! I am currently using an AVR here in the server, the computer that I am using here in our computer shop. Like you, I am also saving for a UPS since it always come in handy expecially here in the province where we have blackouts. When the electricity comes back, the Internet Cafe software that we are using become corrupted and the error is caused by the suden loss of electricity and the server not being properly shut down. It will be very useful to us so I am buying it soon.

Hello Nanayangel,
If you are working in an internet cafe, then it is a must for you to purchase one. Hope you will be able to get one soon. Me, I would like to purchase a UPS because I do accept clerical job from students and teachers. That would be so much annoying to loss data because of unexpected blackout.
