What position do you find most comfortable to sleep in? Is there a position that you just can't sleep in? Or does it matter to you? Are you a sprawler or do you curl up? I always sleep on my right side facing the outside of the mattress. Sometimes though when I have trouble with my right hip, it's more comfortable to sleep on my left side. The only problem with that is when my hubby decides to sleep on his right side since he usually sleeps on the left. I just can't stand to be face to face with a person when I am sleeping, it makes me feel like I can't breathe. It seems he always does this when I really want to sleep on my left. Then I have to flip to the other side and then can't get comfortable because I am hurting. I can't sleep on my back, for some odd reason I have terrible, weird nightmares when I do. Sometimes I will try and sleep on my belly, but then I wake up with my lower back hurting. So sleeping on my side is really my only option. I also like to curl up under the blankets, even in the summer I have to sleep with something over me even if it's just a sheet. My hubby however is a sprawler, and often throws the blankets off the bed. He also hates to have his feet confined and always pulls the sheets and blankets out where I have them tucked in the bottom. When it comes to sleeping we are the exact opposite.

when im going to sleep the most comfortable position is when my left/right face will be flat on the pillow and then after 5 or even 10 minutes... i can probably sleep.. even when i was a kid, this position is really comfortable and can help me out when im not not sleepy or so.. but when i wake up in the morning. my position is in the opposite of what my position before i slept...how can this be?... lol

I actually sleep with my body slanted to one side if I were to lie on my back due to a bad habit from a bad back I used to have. Funnily enough, I always sleep easily and soundly when I'm in bed with my partner, somehow it's just really easy to fall asleep in her presence. Maybe she has this peaceful aura around her :)

How weird...I'm exactly the same way. When I sleep I have to sleep on my side. If I sleep on my back I always dream something weird. Or if I sleep on my stomach I just keep waking up in the middle of the night then i wake up exhausted the next day...Ooh I hate when my husband turns and we're sleeping face to face. I feel exactly the same way I can't breathe. The best and most comfortable way I sleep is on my side cuddled up with my husband holding me. Luckily for me my husband has to have something over him just like me. But the one thing you hate is the same thing my husband hates about me, I have to have my feet out and not confined. So in the end when it comes to sleep, me and my husband are for the most part the same except for a few minor differences.

i think i would sleep better if i could sleep facing up the ceiling all night long when i sleep. i think this is the most comfortable position for a short term starting when you go to bed because i feel more comfortable when my back is really touching the bed. although i like this position, i don't think i can stay in this position all the time because during my sleep, no matter i like it or not, i will eventually twist and turn in bed because my body is not used to be in one position at all times.

I find sleeping on my left side more comfortable sometimes I sleep on top of a pillow well half my body does..lol. I have a back problem and I can't sleep lying down flat on the bed..Sometimes lying on my chest is more comfortable.

I like to sleep on my side. It does not matter to me 'what' side, just as long as it my side. I like one of my knees pulled up towards me. I guess it is kind of like on my belly, somewhat. If I cannot sleep in this position, I cannot sleep in the bed. On the couch..if the tv is *on*...I am asleep. LOL No matter what position. :-)

I almost always sleep on my left hand side with my arm under my pillows. I might turn to the other side every once in awhile to hug my boyfriend, but find I always return to the left. Sometimes I have some tenderness in my right side, so find it uncomfortable to lay on.

i can only sleep on my sides. i cant sleep on my stomach or back. i also curl up while sleeping on my side. i have had back surgery and have lower back pain at night so sometimes i put a pillow between my legs for comfort.

I usually start out curled on my side, but when I wake up I'm always on my stomach with the pillows over my head. I can't sleep on my back. I'm not sure why, I've just never been able to. I definately have to be covered. Even if its 90 degrees. For some reason I feel safer if I'm covered. (you know, cause the blanket is going to protect me from the killer with the chainsaw LOL)

I'm like you I sleep on my right side but I also put my arms up under my pillow and one knee pulled up and over to the side in front of me. Since I first got pregnant 12 years ago that's how I started sleeping and have ever since. Sometimes I do try to sleep on my left side whenever the boyfriend is facing the wall or laying on his belly. I can't sleep face to face with anyone either because night time breath gets on my nerves. (LOL) .... I also recently found out that I have carpel tunnel from the way I sleep since I never had a repetitive job that would cause this problem. My doctor diagnosed it about 6 months ago. So now I am trying to learn how to sleep without folding my arms up under my pillow at night, very difficult.

Personally I prefer the vampire position. I sleep on my back straight as a log. My arms folded across my chest. I don't do it on purpose. It runs in the family. My sister also sleeps like that. Her husband says its creepy, and my girlfriend says that it weirds her out and she thinks that I'm going to attack her in the night. So I randomly do. She screams and then laughs. Good times!

hah thats so funny, cause me and my boyfriend are the exact same, i HAVE to have something on me doesnt matter the temperature. i cant face him unless his head is way low and mine high. i always have the wall.. doesnt matter what side of the bed it is. i like to tuck the blankets under my chin SO comfy. i normally sleep on my side, sometimes i will lay on my stomach, but i normally never fall asleep like that.. never on my back.. only when i was pregnant did i do that. lol normally i curl up, but sometimes i like to sprawl. i LOVE the morning when my BF gets up and i can take over the whole bed. i feel his side is more comfortable lol

I sleep in just about every position over the course of a night. I usually start out on my right side and then switch to my left side. Later in the night I am on my stomach, but I can't sleep that way for long. By morning sometimes I am on my back and sometimes back to my side. My 8 ear old sleeps the same way all over the place. My 1 year old is all over the crib, but is almost always on her stomach.
