i was woken up yesterday with my boyfriend coming in the bedroom holding my crying daughter.. i could hear her crying while i was somewhat sleeping. he told me she was trying to poop.. and had been crying for a while. so i held her while she wippered trying to calm her down.. and she wouldn't.. after about 10 more mins i took her diaper off and tried helping her. it was horrible. she was sweaty, crying, poor thing. i did what i had to, to help her. she didn't pass everything, but she was ok. by then it was time for a nap and she was more then ready.. so i hoped that she would pass the rest in her sleep, and she did. shes been getting pretty constipated lately, and im not sure whats causing it.. is there any kind of food that i can give her to help regulate her?? other then juices, cause that doesnt seem to help. i know fiber helps adults, but i dont know about toddlers? what are good high fiber foods?

Brain muffins are good if your kid likes muffins, I know you said besides juices, but if you can get her to eat or drink prunes taht would help a lot. There are also things that you can cut out of her diet that could be making her sonstipated, like a lot of cheese, bananas, apples, .. I'm not sure what else, but try natural foods and breads with many grains in them. ;)

I forgot to mention, those yogurts like activa with the live cultures in them. Those are supposed to help too if you eat them regularly.

I've been going through the same thing with my toddler. Just yesterday, I literally pulled the poop out of her. I couldn't believe how hard the darn thing was. Does your toddler dink a lot of milk? Because mine does, and milk can really be constipating for them. I called up the nurse and she told me to cut back on the milk and try to give her more water and have her eat all the fruits that starts with the letter "P." Like prunes or plums. The nurse also said to try and feed her a lot of greens, like green veggies. I'm in the process of trying these things myself, so I hope it works.

yeah thats what i had to do with her also.. horrible! she doesn't drink THAT much milk. probably no more then 30oz a day. when i started giving it to her she started to get more constipated, thats when i started giving her more juice or water. i think i defiantly need to feed her more greens and fruits
