Co-workers and friends???

I'm one of those people whom have no interest in making friends at work. It's not that I don't like the people that I work with or anything like that. I just feel that work is work and I go there to do my time and then I want to go home and forget about it. Trying to be overly friendly at work just makes things messy. Personal problems get in the way of work, or cause things to slip at work. Do you try to make friends with the people that you work with?

I tend not to like the people I work with and around at all, mainly because they are 20-30 years older than me. I think if I worked with people that were more my age, then I would.

Generally I agree with you. Making friends at work can be difficult, specially if you or they are in a management position. I have made friends with former colleagues after I've left the office though. One place I worked was like a giant dating agency. The problem was however, that half the folk there didn't speak to each other because they were former lovers!
