Just a few months ago I switched from Comcast Cable to satellit tv and I am very happy with it. The problems I had with cable were too many to write about...lol. Since I've had my satellite even in the worst weather I haven't had a problem. One of the best things is that my box has the ability to record programs while I'm watching something else. Now they came up with a new thing where you can look through a weeks work of programming and set it to record a week in advance. Getting all of that for $53 is awesome as far as I'm concerned.

Not a bad price at all, We pay that if you include the taxes they charge and only get about 70 channels but most of them we don't even watch or are interested in. I wish they would have packages where you only have to pay for the actual channels you do watch that be awesome. But I am only dreaming..

I also have digital cable which also occasionlly goes in and out. I like satalite but hubby won't get it. It is cheaper it seems with being only $29.99 with a package similar to ours on cable at $49.99
