it is every parents fear to have a baby with abnormalities right from or after birth. i pity those parents that have children with abnormalities cos they not only take care of these disabled children they also go through emotional pains watching their child not being able to do what most of his or her mates are doing.

I think in some ways it's not as hard today to raise a special needs child as it was in the past. Depending on what sort of disability we're talking about, there are technologies, prosthetics, therapies etc that can help a handicapped child be more independent. There are also therapies to help children with conditions like autism become more social and develop other needed skills. Which is not to dismiss that it still must be heartbreaking to witness your child struggle to do things other children can do.
