I got the BS in my degree plan rather than the BA. It only required 6-8 hours of math, science or forign language. I ended up with 14 hours of science, I can DO science, I can't do either of the other 2. If I had gone for the BA, I'd've had to have that forign language, and as I've since learned, I can't learn them. Of course, they didn't know that stuff 30+ yrs ago when I was in school.

If I could have escaped math, I would have but it is a requirement of my degree plan.

I had failed 3 times in mathematics (algebra and geometry) and eventually passed with minimum marks. In college, I changed to social sciences like Sociology and Economics. There too in economics, they had introduced Econometrics - hyperbolas and parabolas and set theory, trignometry. It never gets into my head.
My wife is a engineer and having studied maths for couple of years, she is now coaching my son. I keep away from coaching any of those subjects which I disliked all through.
I was told by maths rofessors that it requires common sense, interest and practice.
You please do not hate maths, take interest in the subject, you will do better. Thanks.

My son had trouble in college with some sort of geometry. He finally had to admit defeat and got a tutor. His school has tutoring available at no cost to the students. If you need to pass this course and will be going on with math, you might see if this is available.
Algebra is logical and once you memorize the rules sometimes it will make sense from there. You have to look at the simplest equations first and see what is going on and build onto that. You may have to go back to the beginning and start studying from there. Good luck!! whit
