For all of you that enjoy doing karaoke, where do you do it at? What songs do you sing? Do you like to drink before you go up on stage? Are you alto, soprano, bass? Have you always enjoyed it? Or did someone drag you up there at one time or another? (that is what happened to me. And it started a trend.) And have you ever played the dreaded Scare-e-oke? For those of you that don't know what it is, it's when someone else picks your song and you have to sing it! I hope this is fun for some people. B

Well we have videoke (local term for karaoke with lyrics read on tv screens) bars here, sometimes people would go to them and unwind. There are also those videoke machines which are rented here, as it would cost 10 dollars US per day (depends on the price). We don't have that "scare-e-oke" trend here, though I find that one cool too1;) Usually, we just pass on the microphone for others who are interested to sing and sometimes for those who gets their turn..

Ah thanks for the definition of videoke, I thought you could see yourself maybe. lol It is free where we go to do it here. I would hate to pay per hour for it. We use that money for drinks. :) B

Before, when I still don't have my own karaoke, my officemates and I would go to a place where we could sing just to relieve stress and tiredness from work. We pay (1 to 2 hours) for the room with the videoke and order some food. We are not great singers, so we do it just for fun, enjoyment and to relieve stress. We have not been to places where we would go on the stage to do karaoke. We have done also karaoke singing at the office when there's birthday occasions of colleagues. Now that I have my own karaoke, I just sing at my bedroom whenever I am bored and want to relieve stress.

Hi Joyce, I have been hoping to get one of my own (Maybe with the tax return this year) Then I would invite my friends over and we wouldnt have to worry about anyone drinking and driving. :) Going out and doing karaoke is fun and a great way to meet people and get closer to your own friends! I'm shy and it also helps me with that surprisingly! Also having a couple helps too! ;) B

I have a friend that does karaoke but not me. I have terrible stage fright and there's no way I'd get up in front of a bunch of ppl. I'll sing in the shower or even around the house but that's it. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I don't sing karaoke simply b/c I have huge stage fright. However a friend of mine does and she loves it. I used to go over and sing along with her and she always wanted me to get up with her and do a song but I never would. Another friend of mine and I used to karaoke with certain songs while we were painting rooms in a house Hubby and I were re-doing. We had alot of fun doing it but again, I could never do it in front of strangers. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I do not mind karoke when there are good people singing it... But I can't tell you how many times we would go to a bar, quickly realize we had entered a karakoe nightmare scene, and walk right back out...

I sing on karaoke... When there are events and they have a karaoke on the party... I can be a soprano and an alto, most of the time when people cheer up on you and asks you to sing you cant say 'no' especially if you are in the Philippines....
