How do you feel about your skin complexion? A lot of Filipinas like me wants to have a fairer or lighter skin that's why Glutathione Pills are selling like pancakes here in the Philippines. I also know some foreigners who wishes wo have tanned skin just like ours, Filipinas. How about you? Are you happy with your skin complexion or do you wish that it's lighter or tanned?

Hi there! It's nice that finally, more and more people are beginning to appreciate the beauty of dark skin. I agree with you that courage and attitude is a lot more important than the skin color. Thank you very much for your response.

I have learned to accept my complexion. I know that in other country people envy our color. You see they even spend whole day basking in the sun to get tanned. Some of them even have tan sprayed on their skin. So why would I want to be fair?

I have never heard of that medication you speak of, I sure hope that it does not give any untoward side-effects!

I also never heard of any side-effects either. Maybe in the long run but I hope it's not too bad.

Hi there! Yeah, and not everyone can afford creams and pills for whitening right? Well, I think that they should just look for alternatives, other means of enhancing their natural beauty. Thank you very much for your response.

i like the way my skin is. i think we are one of the nationality with good skins. although some of our kababayan wants to get fairer i think our skin is cool. i have traveled in some other countries and met people with different nationality, they have white skin pero may pekas. lol. so i like the way we filipina are.

Well, I agree with you. When I was younger, I did practically everything to make my perpeturally tanned skin, fair. I spent a futune for all those beauty products that promised to give me a fair skin. But since foreigners are more drawn to me because of my skin color. I learned to accept the color of my skin now. My hubby loves my skin so much. I feel good also when people turn heads whenever I walk or pass them in public places.

Hi there ruthinian! Yeah, most of those who watns to whiten their skin are the young once based from what I have noticed. It's nice that you know how others appreciate the beauty of your skin especially the one who matters most- your hubby. Thank you very much for your response.

I'd prefer the natural color of filipinas. Kayumanggi, not so dark and not so fair. I would say I love the kayumanggi complexion. This is one reason, find me a whole body painting portrait where in the female model was painted totally white? or fair? If the painter did that it would look like a ghost. right? For naturally and for art's sake kayumanggi rules.

I am satisfied with my skin's complexion, it works for me. I am medium fair - not pale... have freckles and a reddish tone to my skin. I think all skin colors are lovely, God is a Master Artist after-all.

Hi there Modestah! That's great that you're satisfied with your skin complexion. I find freckles really cute even though there are some who think it is a problem. It's also nice that you think that every skin compleion is beautiful and you're right, they are all created by God and you can't find a better artist to do that. Thank you very much for your response.

I am realitively happy with the color of my skin. I like to get a tan in the summer but then I worry about the negative effects of the sun on my skin. I think this summer I might just buy self-tanner. What really bothers me is moles....or beauty marks....I don't think they are beautiful at all, I hate them. I wish someone would invent a mole eraser.

Hi there Nykkee! That's really great. I agree with you about moles and beauty marks. I don't have much and the ones I have are hidden from plain sight. We had a househelp who has a beauty mark covering almost half of her face and she's been called names such as metal face, dalmatian, and stuff which are really mean.

Dear nanayagel, I am from India I do have a brownish skin a may be Dravidian skin, but never I had felt any complexion feeling with fairer skins as my relatives have fair skins and even my sister has fair skin. But I hope it the confidence one has overcomes the skin complexions if person feels inferior. Skin colour is not the only one aspect of beauty there are others aspects too like the way one talks, behaves, the lips, the walk, the style even one is dark these could easily compensate the skin colour.

Hi there! I agree. There are lots of other aspects that can show a person's beauty aside from the skin complexion. Thank you very much for your response.

I like my skin complexion, its not that light as korean, but not that brown as other malayan people. I never consume any whitening pills, since i know it has side effects to body metabolism. I use some anti-oxidant product for skin and anti-uv moisturiser and lotion.

Hi there manya_pearl! Thank you very much for your response. It's great that you are contented with your skin complexion. When you already love your skin, I think that what you should just do is take care of it. And like what you do, the first thing will be to put on some protection from the sun's rays. Thank you very much for sharing.

Hi Nanayangel, I am black and very proud of my complexion. But there are many Jamaicans who desires lighter skin tone like yourself. They too use skin lightening cream. Here in Jamaica it is reffered to as bleaching and is mostly found in the ghetto areas. Nicky1987
