I think that this movie has an incredible ending...but I hope some day there will be continued. What do u think about it? Should it be continued? What do you think it will happen next?

Okay, first of all, if you're not an avid fan of LOTR, I don't blame you for asking that question. For LOTR fans like me, it seems funny for people to ask that question. But I guess you aren't a real fan, you just watch the movie and that's it. For all the people who thinks there will be something happening next, let me tell you that there won't be any continuation. Frodo sails to the West along with the last of the Elves, and that's it. The story ends there, and the trilogy ends there. There are other non-related books about Sam's story following the events after LOTR but that's not the point: the Fellowship came to an end after the War of the Ring. My opinion is this: stick to the book. J.R.R Tolkien stopped it there, so I guess that's where it ends. There will be nothing happening next. For me its an insult to change the original trilogy, no offence. Plus, the original ending is very good already, don't you think?

Yes, you are right, the story ends there. I guess they could make some sort of sequel because of the success this movie trilogy has had, but as far as the trilogy written by Tolkien, this is far as it goes.

My question is, have you seen all the movies in the trilogy? They cover all three books originally written by Tolkien in this trilogy and therefore no one can go and make another continued version because this would probably be breaking copyright. What I would like to see though is them make a movie of "The Hobbit" as well and perhaps even some of Tolkien's other books. If you have not read the books themselves though then I would encourage you to do so because I really don't think anyone can better them - Tolkien put a lot of work and effort into creating the best mythology he could as presented in THe Lord of the Rings and his other books and I think anyone who tried to change it would just ruin it.

Nah it should never be continued. It should stay how the author intended it. how could you possibly carry it on now anyway? They are great films but i think it would be the stupidest idea ever if someone carried it on. No one would bother anyway.

If the comment about the ending is in reference to ROTK then yes it has a fantastic ending. Albeit this trilogy is fantastic and should be considered one of the greatest movies of all time, it can in no way be considered THE greatest. The reason is that no one movie can be called THE greatest because each one is like a snowflake special in it's own way. Furthermore, if another movie should be made (besides "The Hobbit" {come on Peter Jackson}) it's The Silmarillion (what a movie it would make).

LOTR was an Incredible cinematic Achievement, however, the story ended there...there is no material to base a continuation upon. If You enjoyed these movies, look out for the greenlit production of "The Hobbit" when it reaches the Cinema.Hopefully,it will get the same high production level.LOTR is the Story of Frodo's Journey to destroy the Ring..."The Hobbit" Is a Prequel, also written by Tolkien, telling the Story of Bilbo's Adventures when Younger, and getting the ring in the first place..Some of the story and characters have featured in the LOTR Movies.. Bilbo,Gandalf, and Gollum feature in this story also. Some things mentioned briefly in LOTR may be covered in the new Movie-Bilbo Getting the Mithril Shirt and his Orc detecting sword,"Sting" that he gave to Frodo..The story Bilbo was telling the Hobbit kids at his 111th Birthday party about being held by trolls who argued so long about how to cook Hobbit, the sun came up and turned them to stone-that happened in "The Hobbit".Those stone trolls then make an appearance in LOTR :) If you haven't read the books, read them soon-the Movies don't follow the books exactly, but they will cover what you will see on screen..
