When peoples started to have too much fiath in their country, could it cause its citizens to have too much " blind faith" in whatever their country or leaders does?

Everyone should be able to be proud of their country; it's history and achievements.
That pride does not mean that you have to have "blind faith" in your country's leaders. A leader is only as good as the people he or she has supporting him. If a leader is not given the information they need; they cannot make good decisions. Leaders are human beings; they can have a "bad day" or make mistakes like anyone else. THey can also become weary, depressed, or ill.
That is why many countries have frequent elections. If a leader is not doing a good job; they can be replaced. It also helps prevent job "burnout". Being responsible for the fate of an entire nation can be very stressful and it can start to affect a person's judgement. Without elections, leaders who are no longer effective have to either "step down" or they are "deposed/assassinated". Either alternative can leave the country and the people in a bad situation and be very detrimental.
Is it dangerous for a country to have too much national pride? It can be. If a country's people are TOO full of mnational pride and someone else says something is wrong with the country; the people can overreact and attack the people who said there was a problem.
If really believe their country is a great country; they should be able to accept a few things in life.
Most people believe they have the BEST parents in the world; but, they also have to realize that other people think their parents are best too. It doesn't mean you get into a fight about it. You just "agree to disagree".
Countries are the same. Just as you know your parents best; you know your country best. Like people, countries have strong points and weak points. If you do not like something in your own country; you should try to fix or change it; not get angry and go to war because someone else noticed the weak point. Sometimes we are too close to a problem to see it clearly and sometimes it is not REALLY even a problem. But, national pride does not mean you have to go to war at the "drop of a hat" or comment; and, family pride does not mean you need to kill someone because they say their momma or papa is "better" than yours. But, some people do react that way.

Yes, people must have faith in themselves and understand that while in principle it is good to have national pride, blind faith opens the door to corruption. We all have social, moral, and political obligations and necessarily these sometimes conflict with what each individual might think is right, but one must try to be guided by proven facts and common sense, not blind obedience.

Yes it can. Look at America and what we have as leaders.
